Send Me a Postcard

We never imagined that the whole United States of America could close.

But it did, in March 2020.

One student finds a creative way to connect with hundreds of people across the country

while we all stayed home during the Covid lockdown.

Join one lonely girl's journey to check in with others from home through an inspiring postcard project.

Based on an actual project, the cards reveal many points of view

of the Covid 19 pandemic from folks ages 5-91.

Life completely changes for Em, and everyone else

when the country goes into lockdown to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Middle grade readers and older will remember their own experiences

during the pandemic.

Younger children will gain an understanding of this strange and historic time.

In test groups, children yelled out, “It was just like that!”

then, "Want to know what happened to me?"

Readers are invited to share their own pandemic story through this website.
